Lambskin half pad - trim with pockets

The Kavalkade saddle pad made of medical lambskin provides additional padding and can help ensure even pressure distribution between the saddle pad and the saddle. Unlike a regular saddle pad, this pad features insert pockets at the front and back. These can be customized with matching inserts to adjust the saddle’s position. This allows you to respond, for example, to changes in musculature or differences in muscle development.

The medical lambskin is characterized by its soft and dense wool structure. Wool can absorb moisture and has natural temperature-regulating properties. As a result, the material helps create a comfortable climate under the saddle. The elastic wool fibers compress under pressure and can spring back to their original shape once the pressure is released. With proper care, high-quality lambskin thus retains its natural structure and shape.

The insert pockets allow for precise adjustment of the padding in the front and rear areas. This enables the saddle position to be customized and supports even pressure distribution under the saddle. Care Instructions
Natural materials are sensitive to chemicals. The more often lambskin is washed, the more it loses its natural properties and may begin to pill. After drying, simply fluff it up with a brush.
If you do decide to wash the saddle pad, we recommend a gentle wash at 30°C using a special lambskin detergent. Then let it air dry. Remove the inserts beforehand.
